Magazine cover drafts

To follow convention, in my magazine drafts I have included the masthead along the top of the front cover in the biggest font on the page, and have ensured the feature article photo is placed in front of the masthead. My feature article photos will be of the protagonist to follow convention and ensure synergy between the products. They are placed central with eye contact with the camera to follow convention. However I have chosen to have one draft with the image on the write side with plugs and puffs down the left side as I have noticed whilst analysing that some film magazine covers consist of this layout. The coverlines are placed below the feature article photo but overlap to ensure it is clear to the audience that these have a link and are the main part of the magazine. Another way I have followed convention regarding my research is by ensuring the plugs and puffs are aligned left and right with smaller text than the masthead and coverlines.
