When beginning to create my magazine cover, I firstly chose to use the colour blue. However, I think the colour scheme is an important part of the product as it is a key part in creating synergy and giving my products a house style and brand recognition. Therefore I decided to think more about the colour scheme used by taking into consideration what would attract my target audience. My target audience is girls around the age of 13 as this is how old my protagonist is which would make it easier for my audience to relate with the protagonist. Due to this, I decided a pink/purple colour may be more appealing for my target audience. To confirm this, I changed the colour of the fonts etc in my magazine front cover and asked some year 9 girls within the school which magazine front cover they preferred. As the majority chose the one with the pink/purple colour fonts, I decided to use this colour scheme within my magazine cover and within my other products to create synergy between them.
